Cannabis Laws in Nevada

Is weed legal in Nevada? Yes — recreational and medical cannabis are both legal here for adults 21+.

Cannabis is legal for adults 21+ in Nevada, approved by voters in 2016 with retail sales open. The possession limit is 2.5 ounces of flower (or 1/4 ounce of concentrate). Home cultivation is allowed only for residents who live more than 25 miles from a licensed dispensary, and the market is overseen by the Cannabis Compliance Board.

Federally, cannabis is still a controlled substance nationwide — but that status is in flux. See where rescheduling stands →
