Cannabis Laws in Arizona

Is weed legal in Arizona? Yes — recreational and medical cannabis are both legal here for adults 21+.

Arizona legalized adult-use cannabis through Proposition 207 in November 2020, and licensed retail sales are open to adults 21+. Adults may possess up to one ounce (with no more than 5 grams as concentrate) and grow up to six plants at home in a locked, enclosed area out of public view. The Department of Health Services licenses and regulates the market.

Federally, cannabis is still a controlled substance nationwide — but that status is in flux. See where rescheduling stands →
