What is Sativa?
Sativa is a traditional cannabis category popularly associated with uplifting, energetic, "heady" effects, though the label is a rough generalization.
Sativa historically describes taller, narrow-leaf plants, and the term is widely used to market products as stimulating or cerebral. As with indica, researchers caution that the sativa label poorly predicts actual effects, which are better explained by chemical makeup than by plant type. Nearly all modern cannabis sold as "sativa" is in fact hybridized.
