What is Hybrid?
A hybrid is a cannabis variety bred from a mix of indica and sativa lineages, which describes the vast majority of cultivars sold today.
Hybrids are created by crossbreeding parent plants to combine desired traits such as aroma, potency, or growth characteristics. Retailers sometimes label hybrids as "indica-dominant" or "sativa-dominant" to suggest a leaning, but these descriptors are marketing conventions rather than precise measures. A product’s reported effects are tied more closely to its cannabinoid and terpene profile than to the hybrid label.
