What is Entourage Effect?

The entourage effect is the theory that cannabis compounds—cannabinoids and terpenes—work together to shape effects more than any one does alone.

The entourage effect proposes that THC, CBD, minor cannabinoids, and terpenes interact synergistically, so a whole-plant product may feel different from an isolated compound at the same dose. It is frequently cited to explain why full-spectrum products are popular. The concept is widely discussed but remains an area of ongoing scientific research rather than settled fact.
