Cannabinoids

What is CBN (Cannabinol)?

CBN (cannabinol) is a mildly psychoactive cannabinoid formed as THC ages and breaks down, often found in older cannabis.

CBN is produced largely through the oxidation and degradation of THC over time, so aged or improperly stored flower tends to have higher CBN levels. It is only weakly intoxicating compared with THC and is commonly marketed in "sleep" or "nighttime" products, though scientific evidence for those effects is limited. It is increasingly isolated and added to edibles, tinctures, and capsules.
