Cannabinoids

What is CBG (Cannabigerol)?

CBG (cannabigerol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid often called the "mother cannabinoid" because other cannabinoids form from its acidic precursor.

CBG originates from CBGA, the chemical precursor that the plant converts into THCA, CBDA, and other cannabinoid acids as it matures. Because most CBGA is converted during growth, mature flower usually contains only small amounts of CBG, making it relatively expensive to produce. It is non-intoxicating and appears in a growing number of isolate and full-spectrum products.
