What is Edible?

An edible is a food or drink product infused with cannabis extract, delivering cannabinoids through digestion rather than inhalation.

Edibles include gummies, chocolates, baked goods, and beverages, and they require decarboxylated cannabinoids to be active. Because they are processed by the liver, effects typically take longer to begin and can last considerably longer than inhaled cannabis, so labels list THC content in milligrams per serving. Onset time and intensity vary widely between people, which is why dosing is printed clearly on packaging.
