About the Role
The Assistant Dispensary Manager (ADM) is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the operational success, compliance, integrity, and team performance of the dispensary.
The ADM oversees all Dispensary Associate and Key Holder tasks and goals while helping drive management and leadership team objectives, particularly around productivity, accountability, and positivity.
This role works closely with the Lead Dispensary Manager and reports directly to the Lead Dispensary Manager. This is a full-time leadership position requiring availability to work a flexible and rotating schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Set or fixed schedules are not available for this role.
The ideal candidate is energetic, solutions-oriented, compliance-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment where operational priorities shift daily.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Team LeadershipSupervise Dispensary Associates and Key Holders during daily operationsDrive team productivity, morale, and service standardsAssist with scheduling, staffing coordination, and daily workflow managementCoach and develop team members to ensure performance alignmentPromote a positive, accountable, and patient-focused store cultureCompliance & Regulatory OversightReview, maintain, and communicate updates to Restore Dispensaries SOPsEnsure updated SOPs are accessible for scheduled and unscheduled DOH auditsAssist in overseeing medication dispensing procedures in compliance with DOH and state regulationsEnsure reportable events are documented and submitted promptlyMaintain accurate recordkeeping and audit readinessInventory & Cash ManagementAssist in overseeing pre-packaged inventory management and vault-to-floor movementEnsure nightly and monthly audits are conducted in alignment with company standardsMonitor inventory reconciliation processes and support the Inventory SpecialistOversee adherence to cash handling procedures, including POS accuracy, reporting, deposits, and reconciliationsCross-Department CollaborationCoordinate with department leaders to ensure smooth store operationsSupport the Dispensary Manager in executing operational and compliance initiativesAct as a leadership resource during manager absencesRequired Qualifications
3+ years of responsible retail experience, including at least 2 years in managementExperience in regulated retail or medical marijuana strongly preferredStrong knowledge of medical marijuana products and patient consultationExperience in inventory management and reconciliationStrong reporting and analytical skillsExcellent conflict resolution and decision-making abilitiesBasic math and strong computer proficiencyCash handling experience with high accuracyAbility to lift, bend, twist, stand, and walk as requiredFlexibility to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidaysWhat You Bring
